See – dressage is for every hors… er, mule?

I saw this video on facebook and thought it was pretty awesome… So many people think it’s a small portion of horses that can do, or should do dressage, and those groups are stereotypically dressage competitors and eventers. The thing is, that is sooooo not the case! Every person and horse should experience some dressage – especially with natural horsemanship and clicker training around, in the right hands they can all mix perfectly together and can help develop the relationship between you and your horse, teach you horse proper self carriage and develop muscles in your horse to carry their rider in a manner than is more healthy for their body, making their “useful” life longer.

Just look the muscles on the topline of this mule! This mule has a better topeline than most horses do! I rode a mule when I was a kid, the most stubborn thing – but smarter than any horse in the barn. This definitely makes me want to get a mule or donkey to play with… Those ears are pretty irresistible! Until I have my own place, Brady’s big irish ears will be satisfying enough :)
