VIDEO! This morning we took Annie over to Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding & Horsemanship to start her 90-day trial as a therapy horse for their program. I got a little bit of video of her before and after we left. Annie loaded into the trailer nicely, she was a little hesitant, but she didn’t take one step back. She put [...]

VIDEO! Mr. Brady got out twice this week to get a little work done.. Well, 3 times if you count the farrier visit, but that’s all he had to do that day! I don’t want to do too much with Brady right now, as he’s a coming 2 year old (foaled May 2009) and just don’t want to stress his joints or anything. But I would like to get his ground work going so we can have a [...]

VIDEO! At the new barn I’ve been working with Angel more often. It helps a lot that it’s so close to where I live compared to the last place! We are working on the basics of the Clinton Anderson lunging methods, which is what we’re doing in the video here. In just 2 to 3 sessions [...]

VIDEO! Ok sorry I know I’ve been slacking in updates and blog posts, but man do I have some great material to work with! Sooo much has happened in the past two weeks, I should be good on blogging for at least a month now, haha. Anyways, wanted to give an update as to how Annie, Brady and Angel are doing. They are all adjusting to their new lifestyle. They [...]

VIDEO! This is some video footage of Angel the first time I strapped a saddle on her! I had put it on her plenty of times before this, but never put a girth on or tightened it up. She did fabulous – as you can see! Like she’s been carrying a saddle forever. The camera died early, I did have her trot with it on, no bucking, [...]

VIDEO! Today the Happyloosas/Filly Tracks Camelot filly, Angel, arrived at her foster home from quarantine! This is so exciting, it is our first save ever! We were all very glad to see her arrive safely to her foster home. Awaiting at her foster home was Ginger, a 7 year old walking horse mare – who is also our first ever Filly Tracks training client! So a blog [...]

VIDEO! I’ve never met a foal who didn’t love their butt being scratched! Now Brady isn’t a foal anymore… But he’s still a baby, only a yearling! A big yearling… but he’s sweet. For those of you who don’t know, Brady is a yearling purebred Irish Draught out of Bridon Belfrey and Bridon Glenlaurel. Go here to read more about Brady before [...]

That’s right! We did our name drawing for #989 who was pulled from Camelot about a month ago! She will no longer be referred to by hip number! What an exciting step in this fillies new life! I really don’t like referring to horses by hip #, just seems so dry and disrespectful… But this filly is turning over a new [...]

Meet this beautiful black mare, Lady! Lady was originally saved from an auction and was very close to heading to slaughter! She was saved by Horse Rescue United and adopted with her friend, Carol, a TB mare. Unfortunately, Lady ran into some health problems and is now only suitable as a companion horse. The family that originally adopted her adopted another horse that was ridable, and Lady was very unhappy [...]
